10. Dave got me an alarm clock -
It's one that tries to help you wake up with light - about a half hour before the alarm goes of the light goes on (dim), and gets progressively brighter until it's at full brightness when the alarm goes off. I have a HORRIBLE time waking up in the morning, and winter mornings are even WORSE (if that's possible) so I'm hoping it will do much to help. Anyway, it's something I've been wanting but have yet to get myself. :)

I asked for an item and he said he just ordered it on Amazon.com on Saturday. Fat chance of that arriving by yesterday....

32. Don't feel bad. Moms always eat the leftovers...
We got a couple of 30-ish dollar things for the family, and I gave DH and our son a few stocking stuffers.
In my stocking I put the new hummingbird feeder I bought yesterday to replace the one I gave myself for my birthday two or three years ago, and in the toe, the traditional orange.

On the second/(third?) day of Christmas your true love gave to thee, an Amazon item and an apology...

21. Our christmas
is so geared to the kids that neither of us buy for each other. It works out good b/c neither of us expect anything, and we don't get mad if one doesn't get anything. We are usually surprise(when it's least expected) gift givers. I have everything I want already. He won't be here next yr, so we're just enjoying the whole family being together for now.

reprehensor is over at his friend's parents for X-Mas. I'm just working on my book, like normal. Had some Maker's Mark fortified eggnog awhile ago. :9

He oughta be up in a week or three (depending on if his boss makes him see out his two weeks notice or not-- he has this nasty tendency of firing people when they give notice).

26. I'm in California having Christmas with my sister and niece
I got some Bath and Body Works creamy bath wash, The Simpsons movie and movie CD, Sweeney Todd soundtrack (we saw and LOVED the movie the other day), a couple of books, some earrings, a CD mix and some other goodies. My niece has been sick for over a week and is feeling really crappy today, darn it - hope she feels better soon. We are watching the "A Christmas Story" marathon and later today are going to San Francisco for dinner at Bullwinkle's stepdaughter's home. I have to go back to Texas tomorrow, darn it - look forward to seeing Mr. DTBK and kitties, but not to being in Texas and out of the beautiful Bay Area. CRAPPITY CRAP CRAP CRAP.

Merry Christmas to all!

He was quite pleased.

I'm getting new pots and pans for my kitchen that are very pretty and match my mixer, but they're on back order, so I have to wait a few more days. I did get the cutest little card ever, wishing me a nice War on Christmas.

29. We didn't exchange presents
this year, not even stocking stuffers. After the fridge repair, new TV (I guess that could be considered our "present") and a car repair house call, the budget was pretty much gone. We got the dog a new bone and will get him a new collar when PetsMart gets some in the right size and color. He needs a 20" and hubby only wanted red. But going back to PetsMart will give me an excuse to sneak over to Barnes and Noble and start on blowing next years Xmas budget.

34. Before I tell you, keep in mind I asked for all of the items I got....
It's not here yet, but I got a kick butt treadmill that I can plug my iPod into when I run (and I don't have to drag my butt to the gym anymore on cardio days!!!) Yes, I'm that weird.

We finally got the sonic care tooth brush system thing. I've wanted it ever since my in-laws told me about how incredible it is but the damn thing tickles so much that it's going to take a while to get use to. To offset the toothbrush, I got candy in my stocking. :D

Two new soft and wonderful cotton pj's, a beautiful new robe, a workout outfit for my treadmill, and a bottle of my favorite champagne.

I was spoiled this year. ;)

Edited on Tue Dec-25-07 11:49 PM by crim son
to get him a webcam for Christmas but became paranoid that he would use it with her(this wasn't a longtime friend but a woman who was hitting on him like & he was flattered, I think). Today we exchanged gifts and before he opened his, I told what I had originally planned, and why I changed my mind. Then I opened the present from him: a webcam. Heh. He deleted the account where he was friends with the woman, and got us both a webcam so we could communicate with one another and exchange videos and pics while we do so.

He loves me :D Lucky me, lucky me. Okay, maybe he doesn't but he says he does.

43. My lady and I did something interesting
Since this is our first year together (I just moved to NY in April) we decided to go halfsies on something for the house. She went on Craigslist, and found a brand-new wine refrigerator for only $200, they usually go for about $450. I suggested that instead of her buying it outright, that we each put up a hundred bucks, and its the first thing we jointly own.

Cheers to all of you out there!
