Things you've learned about yourself this year.
It's Christmas eve and that means only a few days left in this year. I've learned a lot about myself... not enough to call it a total discovery, but a lot.

What have you learned about yourself? I'll start.

1. I have an anger issue.
2. I have issues with my body and how other people perceive it.
3. I can do thirty minutes on an elliptical machine.
4. I can quote almost everything in Red vs. Blue.
5. I cry over stupid things.
6. My writing will stay with me no matter what.
7. Sometimes those that I think highly of will never feel the same about me.
8. I can question my dedication to things and it will be okay.
9. I really hate split-pea soup.
10. My friends are true and they help me even if they don't know it.
11. I'm glad I've grown up.
12. I can go through a year without having a crush.
13. I can be a bitch and that doesn't bother me.
14. I still don't know what I want to do with my life.
15. I've discovered my hair color: Dark auburn.
16. Even though I'm 16 years old, have a great life, am socially adjusted, and a girl, I still am a Star Wars fan to my very core.

That's why there's sixteen things..... It's weird to see how much you've grown in one year, isn't it?

edit: Dammit, I forgot to say thank you for saying such a nice thing! So thank you for saying such a nice thing! :hi:

3. #1, #2, #6, and #7 are very important, MiniManda
I think it takes a lot of people more than 16 years of life to realize those things. Please, please, please do not let the body image issue control your life. That one has potential danger in it. You look fine just the way you are.

I have learned that we all have secrets and that no one is pure. We all have a dark side.

4. It comes and goes.
i think I'm rather attractive but it's hard being in a highschool environment...

Darkside we all do have. Secrets are something that make us whole and human. To have no secrets is to have no feelings.

5. Always remember #9. It should serve you well over time and may just be
the one that never changes... :)

6. I can't stand it...
Which sucks because my mom makes really good split pea soup. It's the texture or the taste or something... And I'm the kind of person that likes everything but I can't take that soup.

So what did you learn about yourself?

7. I learned that I can successfully assume a leadership position
and be responsible to a large number of subordinates. This may not sound like much but it is something I've been avoiding since I was in the army back in the early 90s. (it's a confidence thing.)

Everything else that I know about myself right now I've known for years.

10. 1) It's easy to rack up more charges in hospital bills than I make in income in a year
2) That it is impossible to get short-term disability insurance if you've previously been disabled
3) The words "I love you" don't mean sh!t when the manic episode ends

That's all I can think of for now

11. Dude that sucks.
That sucks a lot.

The words 'I love you' should always mean something, and the hospital bills are already hard to come back from, even when you do have health insurance.

a month, then get better all by myself, without involving any damn doctors.

Just a little talent I have.
