Rufua Wainwright's new CD
"Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall"...no, it's not a porn thing...

A while back, Rufus Wainwright replicated the legendary 1961 concert Judy Garland gave at Carnegie Hall.

And...it's FAB-U-LOUS. He performs the same songs Ms. Garland did..."Over the Rainbow" "The Man That Got Away" "You Made Me Love You"...etc...with guest performances by his sister, Martha Wainwright, his mother Kate McGarrigle and Lorna Luft. Listening to it made me wish I had been there at Carnegie Hall in 1961. Just wonderful.

I listened to it again on the way to my folks this afternoon.

It's my new favorite cd.

2. There's a dvd of the same performance he did in London.
Which I didn't know about. I thought he only did the one performance in New York.

Either way, it's a wonderful concert. And he sure is adorable.

3. Rufus...the love of my life.
I've been scrounging Youtube but most of the vids are so blurry and of poor quality.

I did see one where he was in nothing but fishnets and a black blazer, putting on ruby red lipstick while talking to the audience.

I just about fainted.
