Need classic rock suggestions for a playlist
The wife has requested a mix of "Things she can sing along with."
I probably have some but since I'm a bit of a music snob I'm not sure what qualifies.
Post your suggestions here and if they're in my collection I'll add them to the list.

8. Day After Day was just added to the list
I'm listening to and reviewing the playlist. If I have to hit pause to watch a Youtube video it destroys the continuity which is an important element of the mix.

two other great Badfinger choices

I was thrilled to see Pete Ham's Day After Day getting play again in the NBA commercial. One of the best voices and one of the kindest performers in rock music.

On edit: Someone just uploaded Badfinger's live version of Day After Day on You Tube. From the show Set of Six, IIRC and Irish tv show.

I love Blue Suede Shoes but I'm not sure that fits the wife's criterion. I even got to see Carl Perkins perform it live. He was wearing boots not shoes but they were blue suede.

Hoyt Axton's 'Never Been to Spain' as performed by Three Dog Night

Very sing-alongable. Some really fun rhymes.

And I can sing pretty much every song from Jimmy Buffett's 'Songs you Know By Heart.' But for singalongability "Pencil Thin Mustache" is one of my favor.

35. Shattered by the Rolling Stones?
Oop sha doo be shattered shattered.

Maybe earlier stones, tho I really grew to hate Honky Tonk Women because it was on the radio incessantly for what seemed like my entire life but probably wasn't.

Beatles stuff - Sly and the Family Stone - Dance to the Music - uh, Marvin Gaye, Low Spark of High Heel Boys, which I think I heard every Friday night at about midnight on FM when I was younger. Whiter Shade of Pale, the bob dylan songs I don't like, like Blowin' In the Wind or Hey Mr. Tamborine Man and I only hate them because of the covers and see the second sentence above.

James Brown Get up Offa That Thing is a song that everyone needs to hear from time to time. Talking Heads Life During Wartime, or Once in a Lifetime, My Sharona, Rock the Casbah - would she like any of those?

61. PS
This may not be a classic in a classic sense (I may NOT be making sense there LOL),
but if you have Leo Kottke's "Ice Water" in your collection, the song "Morning is the
Long Way Home," the original version with the vocal, was, for me, one of the best
songs to come out of the 1970s, along with Jackson Browne's "Take It Easy."

First of all, Boston has to be in there somewhere. Santana, "All I Ever Wanted" is a rocker. How about Robert Palmer? And throw in some DAVE (Matthews). Their version of Watchtower is very good, as is Tom Petty's "Change of Heart." YES has to be in there too. Steve Miller maybe?

How long a list do you want? Because you know, I could go on...and on...and on...
