A bright spot in the shopping madness today...

:) My husband and I braved the lunacy today to get the last-minute shopping done, and it was ridiculous. However, I had planned everything we needed to pick up, and I was able to get in and out of three busy stores in less than five minutes each. :bounce: :toast: The parking lots were madhouses, of course, so the worst part was braving the bullshit there. We had to do our grocery shopping on the way home, and when we got there, we noticed a live string quartet near the checkouts. That was a really nice touch. :D It put everyone in a good mood, and it was really pleasant. It's a very nice store anyway, but that was just unexpected. :toast: I'm gonna go online and put in a compliment.

I'm tired but in a pretty good mood. Those of you who had to shop today: I hope you had a decent experience! :)

3. It is. It's Lowe's Foods.

:) It's a regional (mainly NC) store. But they've got a class act.

7. You mean the drunkin' bums urinating on peoples cars didn't lift

the spirits so to speak...

I went to our "in" grocery store tonight and I swear, people with money just don't seem to care what goes on around them...

It's as if they were oblivious to everything and everyone else around them...

Leaving carts in teh middle of the aisle, letting kids just drift about...

I guess that happens everywhere...

8. I braved only Harris Teeter, CVS and Border's...

and the sales staff and cashiers were quite pleasant. I was bracing myself for the worst!

And bravo! on the Ship of Fools reference. I'm flashing back to '87...
