1. I love Rudolph!

The songs, Yukon, Abominable, Herbie. Just too cute. I still watch it, even though I am no longer a kid and don't have kids either.

2. Like all of your choices but my favorite is The Little Drummer Boy
Edited on Fri Dec-21-07 07:50 PM by irkthesmirk
I've loved it since I was a kid and I got a drum for the first Christmas that I remember. I also think that it has a very positive message. You missed one of my other favorites, Santa Claus is Coming to Town with Fred Astaire. I'm glad that you included White Christmas and Holiday Inn in your poll! We make it a point to watch both of those every year.

10. A Charlie Brown Christmas
I think it's the greatest holiday special ever, both humorous and touching. The soundtrack album is a jazz classic. And it's all about the over-commercialization of Christmas -- not a theme that is explored too often on commercial TV.

13. Tough to choose...
but I picked It's a Wonderful Life. I love all the shows listed, but if I don't bawl like a leetle girl over Jimmy Stewart appreciating his life and his family, it ain't Christmas.

14. When I was younger I liked the Morecambe and Wise and Two Ronnies Christmas Specials.
Of course anyone this side of the pond probably won't know anything about but these were some of the funniest men in british comedy. Only one left with us: Ronnie Corbett.

As for other Christmas specials - of course there's Doctor Who... - where Christmas declared war on people in London - Santa Clauses with trombones that were actually flamethrowers, and spinning Christmas trees threatening to chop up anyone who comes near it... now that's Christmas at War.

Mark.
