Just when we thought our son was potty trained...
he developed this habit of taking a dump *next to* the toilet.

I suppose if it was a hand grenade, he'd be good to go...but cleaning up these gifts he leaves us is getting old.

Anybody have any tips?

2. My sons and my nephews all
Edited on Thu Dec-20-07 07:30 PM by Breeze54
did that same type of behavior at that age. ( 2 yrs old?)

It's because they're so proud of "what they made". :eyes:
(at least that's what my SIL told me)

She said one of my nephews was throwing his poop down the stairs at her! :P

It's a stage. They stop after awhile.

I used to make a big deal of how gross and stinky it was and my kids stopped.

Get him/her some Playdoh! ;)

3. Well...sons like to imitate their dad.
I guess it would be strange having him watch you drop a deuce in the commode, but...

6. Take a deep breath and say to yourself, "this too shall pass."
Can't think of any of my grooms who didn't know where to take a dump.

My first two boys were great. Everyone told me that subsequent children learn faster due to having older siblings. Bullshit! Still having incidents with my 4 1/2 year old. AAAGGHHH! I'm done with procreation and I think he's making sure my reproductive stage lasts as long as possible.

Wish I had more proactive advice but seriously, about all we can do is express our dissatisfaction, clean it up and wait for another day.

Good luck!
