Statler Brothers reneg on deal, attempt to cover up tracks.
C'mon, you said, 'when the lights go on at Wrigley Field I'll be comin' home to you!' Well, that poor woman is waiting!!!

And now you go and change the words of the song to, 'when they put a dome on Wrigley Field I'll be comin' home to you' Shame shame shame!

Ok take my rocker card, I no longer deserve it at all! Please refer to me as 'Wham!fan' from now on. Thanks.

1. I liked Wham.

Even went to their concert.

I was young... and in my defense I also saw The Ramones, The Smiths, and many other not terrible bands.

4. I have no idea....
while I did spend probably far too much time searching for the meaning behind Genesis's and Yes's lyrics, I never bothered spending too much time trying to figure out anything at all having to do with Wham. I just considered them fluff, I guess.

5. Fluff. Well, you would be right about that!
Maybe they thought "choose life" sounded happy and positive, and they chose to ignore the abortion connotation? Really, how could "choose life" possibly relate to a closeted gay belting out "wake me up before you go go"?

3. I only have one rule about music really- turn it up if ya like it!
Was just kidding around about having mentioned Billy Joel in an earlier thread. Just havin' some fun!

6. An no worries...
I did read your comment in the other thread... but my shame with respect to Wham is entirely self-inflicted.

7. Hey you are a fan of Hubert Sumlin so I think that makes up for
listening to Wham!

-20 points for Wham!

+ 1,000 points for Sumlin.

8. Hah... you have a good memory.
Hm... for some reason thinking of him made me wonder if the blues masters should also be in the rock and roll hall of fame. Maybe they are. I don't pay enough attention to know...

9. I don't either, but if Sumlin is not in then the whole place should
be burned.
