Okay, when I said being thirty was a piece of cake, I lied.
I spent day two of my thirty-something experience with the WORST stomach flu of.my.life.
I was crying and cramming my fingers down my throat. It felt like labor pains.

This had better not be an omen. I think I jinxed myself.

:P

2. It's ok, because feeling *sort of* human today seems FABULOUS!
That's the upside to being miserable; it makes you appreciate when you can stand upright without whimpering.

3. Let me tell you...
I got some experience with this 30 thing, and so far, I am liking it.

You will too.

5. I just need to survival finals week, and I will breathe easier!
I was SO glad I was sick yesterday- I didn't have any classes, then.

I went out this morning and bought myself a new coat and a sweater (yay, birthday money!!ll!)

I am still optimistic about the remainder of my thirties. Even despite the flu...

6. That's what you get for eating cake
:P

My thirties were great - I was smarter than I was in my 20's, in better shape both physically and financially and for the most part, having a good time.

My 40's hurt too damn much. x(

7. I'm so sorry!
I had the worst flu of my life when I was 29 and in graduate school. There's something about being in school...all those students incubating viruses, not getting enough sleep, eating badly, feeling very stressed.

I loved my thirties, and I haven't had the flu since (knock on wood).

Psst. You feel like you are "old" in your thirties but you're not. Trust me on this! Live it up.
