Cripes! There's a guy outside my window
with a sidewalk plow making a racket and piling snow up on a wall in front of houses.

Well; that's a good thing, you might say and it is good they're clearing the sidewalk again

but it's 2 AM!! I've lived here for six yrs. and they've never done this before.

1. He's finally gone!!
Thank You!! :banghead: I couldn't hear myself think!

Just bizarre that they picked this time of night to do clean up in a residential neighborhood.

3. 3rd shifters get no respect
I've only been doing it for about 6 weeks but I'm already sick of the lack of respect for my right to sleep during the day. It's particularly difficult with my 11 year old on days when there's no school but also even when I specifically tell someone that I work nights and ask that nobody call prior to 2 pm they still do. Fuckers.

4. don't get me started
I've worked nights for decades and the crap day shift people pull just floors me. They think it is SUCH an abomination to be awakened at 2 in the morning but think nothing of running piece of SHIT weed-eaters and leaf-blowers while I am sleeping.

5. I wasn't awakened and I've been awoken by leaf blowers & lawn mowers
at 8 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM... you name it! Sunday morning through Saturday night.

But pushing snow around at 2 AM is a little unreal when it ISN'T snowing!!!

We've had worse storms here and they weren't out there that late at night on the night of the storm!

Most people do work during the day, so that's why there's more noise during the day unless you live
in a 24/7 town like Vegas. If people call before 2 PM and continue? I just take the phone off the hook.

Hope you both get some sleep today. ;)

there have been times when I seriously contemplated homicide. Only I was too tired to actually get up and do it.
