most annoying christmas commercial?

the jared commercials make me want to take a frying pan to my television. the lexus ones make me nuts too...i wouldn't be too pleased if my SO made a purchase like that without talking to me first (if it were a situation in which he was not independently wealthy and we had shared finances)

Woman aims at husband, but shoots TV instead

A 61-year-old Washington Township woman is due in a Romeo district court today after she fired a gun at her husband, missed and shot the flat-screen television, police said.

The woman, whose name was not released pending the arraignment, is expected to be charged with assault with intent to commit murder and possession of an unregistered handgun, Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said.

The sheriff’s office received a 911 call about 7:35 p.m. Sunday from the 65-year-old husband who said he locked himself in the basement. He said he was by the television in the basement when his wife appeared with the gun. He held a pillow over his eyes when the round fired, police said.

During the 911 call, he said he was scared and wasn’t coming out of the house because she was upstairs.

Because, seriously, if anybody I was involved in past, oh, the tenth grade opted to give me a *teddy bear* for any holiday (and no I don't care if it's dressed up to reflect my profession or not) I would promptly and summarily dispatch said bear on a long exploration of that giver's ass.

WHAT an amazingly adolescent gift to foist off to an adult. WHAT a total admission of "gosh I am such a loser and have avoided every possible opportunity to get to know you so I'm left with no option other than to buy you an overpriced, dressed up plush animal advertised on television.
