OK, I have mole in my apt.....
This is the craziest things I've ever come across. I had a mouse last year, but I trapped it in a humane-style trap and released the interloper. But a mole? I thought they mostly stuck to the underground. Well, I'm off to trap a rodent and forcibly (but gently) eject him/her.

6. Went into hiding again...

BTW... The whole point of my post was that it was strange (to me, at least) to have a predominantly subterranean creature inside my home. I grew up out in the country with all kinds of critters and moles are old hat. Maybe I was wondering aloud as to why a mole would come indoors, and how he got in?

5. How do you know? Did you see it up close?
Is it hiding under your bed or refrigerator or something? It must be trying to get out of the cold weather. Can't you just feed it until spring?

8. Ran right past my foot.
As to how I'm sure, see reply #6 above. Its actually not that cold around here today. Not hiding anyplace in particular. Its just wanders around like its looking (as much as they can "look")for a way out. I would just like to get it someplace where it can find some food or shelter so it won't die and stink up my place. BTW, I love animals, it just that I'm not Dr. Dolittle.

9. Kill it.
Rodents spread disease, and letting it go free might just lead to its return. Trap it with a humane and lethal trap and toss it.

10. repell.com
Go there and you'll be at Dr. T's Natural Pest repellants. He's got a couple of products that should keep moles and mice out of your apartment in a humane way.

12. Watch it!
It could be a Soviet Mole, left over from the Cold War...

As for catching it... Mole's aren't known for speed, couldn't you just grab him?
