I need Xmas ideas for my GF...

It is that time again DU, the time of year you get to help me figure out what to get my very gorgeous, beautiful, sweet, kind, and perfect GF for xmas...

last year I got her a pink iPod loaded with some of her favorite music as well as some sappy love songs, and a necklace.

Keep in mind, I am madly and deeply in love with her and have no idea what to get her to express that.

I think the gift should be for her - not something you do together. Same with the trip. That might be just me but I think it's a little more special to give a gift that's just for her. :shrug:

Right now she is finishing up grad school, so we spend a lot of time apart.

Time together is not very common, so I think it would be really nice to spend some time with her, and only her.

Spend all my time and energy on her and letting her know how special she is to me and how much I love her. To me it sounds like a good idea.

I was considering taking a trip, just her and I, to Whistler Blackcomb to go skiing, she has always expressed interest in learning, and I am an avid skier and former instructor. This would be a romantic trip.

That way we spend time together and she gets something she wants and can use. We agreed to exchange small gifts like dollar store stuff that will be a surprise. I politely asked her NOT to buy me anything more since she has limited means.

For her birthday I got her a Calphalon cookware set that she had been talking about. Talk to her and see what she is interested in or wants.

I'm not much for surprises. I like to get useful things for people. I have a feeling she's going to surprise me with something she made herself, like a scarf or something.


Actually, would your girlfriend like a romantic vacation somewhere where the two of you can be alone? I've done that once. Plan it out on your own for a time you know she's free and surprise her with it. Get a jacuzzi room, champagne or wine, and some scented candles.
