6. I have worked in retail and construction but I have all the skills
to do any sort of office work (I know the computer programs and can type and all that). I'd e-mail a resume to anyone who would look at it.

4. Seattle? Ha!
If you're illiterate and a bald-faced liar and back-stabber, you could get a job with the Seattle School District - as a teacher, school principal or downtown administrator. Those qualifications could also get you work with the City of Seattle or King County government.

But if you have any real qualifications, good luck.

Seattle's job market sucks (but rents have gone down, finally).

Edited to add:
PS- If anyone knows of a job in Seattle for a copywriter/copy editor/graphic artist/content writer/or content manager - send me an email. You provide the desk and I'll provide my own chair.;)

10. there are no jobs in Seattle
I was out of work for 14 months in one stretch when I lived there, but I moved elsewhere and got work within 4 weeks.

WA state sucks worse than the rest of the sucky national economy. Bleh. You all can have the damp drizzly depressing place.

Good luck.

12. Anyone want to buy a house from me in Seattle?
Honest realtor here. Help support my kid's college fund. So far I've saved enough for three credits at Seattle Central.

13. Walgreens in Kirkland
It's where Walgreens managers are trained, and turnover is high.

15. Is that where you work?
When you mentioned the drug store you were at, I always assumed it was a Bartells -- maybe because we've got so many of them around here. Granted, there are Walgreen's starting to show up all over here, too...
