Guess what I did at work today? JACK SHIT!
That's right. For the first day in many months, I was bored out of my skull, so I spent the entire day (minus a 2 hour staff meeting) just goofing off. It felt good. I even got out of there on time.

I'm not sure why this information is important enough to post, but I'm happy that I finally got a little break in the ol' cube farm. Tomorrow, I might even get to fire someone. w00t!

1. Sounds like a blast...
But go easy on the guy or girl you fire...unless they're stupid and a freeper...then just have at it...yell, go nuts...it'll be fun...and a great way to get out your frustrations. lol

2. I normally take ZERO pleasure in being forced to fire someone.
I have a good team that I truly love (don't tell THEM that). Most of them I've been able to choose, but occasionally I get a few from HR that are forced upon me. Some of them work out, some don't. Cube-farming is not for everyone, you know.

This one in particular was forced on me against my wishes. I've tried, I've been patient, I've given her more leeway than most. She's just not suited for the position. Oh yeah! She's a raving loonie as well. When she's gone, it will bring my team back into balance. We're a tightly knit group, and she's managed to annoy everyone. Plus, she only shows up every other day at best.

3. I skipped work today
I called in and told my supervisor, "I just don't feel like working today". Didn't even bother to fake an illness like everyone else there does.
