State of Michigan Icons.......
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 10:36 AM by Flatline
Michigan State Flower:(Coneious Pylontius)-These precious flowers can be seen throughout Michigan mostly found growing near freeways, but have been spotted in rural areas throughout the state. They seem to generally pollinate and spread their seed during the summer months and really flourish around May-August and can be found everywhere you look almost. Please do not pick these flowers cause it is a crime.

Michigan State Tree:(Barrelonium Flashotia)-This Michigan tree is a well known site to us here in Michigan giving us a feeling of progress and lifts our spirits on site. They fill the air with confusion most of the time, but you can't help to run into a few of these babies daily. These trees have a known affect on vehicles however scientists are working on the cause that takes place when a vehicle gets anywhere near these trees the acceleration of the vehicle slows down anywhere from 45 to 35mph and during the nighttime lightning bugs take rest and refuge in a small plastic circular nest that rests off center on the top of the tree. BEWARE!!! when the bugs are resting and flashing DO NOT TOUCH the nest you may aggravate the little fellows.

Michigan State Flag:The beauty and pride of Michigan the great orange flag yes wherever you see the state tree and/or flowers lined up showing their beauty not far at times there is a devoted Michigan resident (at most times) holding the great orange flag waving it with honor as you drive by. What dedication I tell ya...

Michigan State Bird:(Flippiana Offitor)-Yes this bird of our state can be found in any public or private place there has been reports as well seeing this plumbed bird in vehicles as well. This bird however seems to have the na-ck of showing up during debates and heated subjects that generates anger and frustration more is being done to find out the true habits of this bird. I will keep you informed as more information comes in.

Michigan State Animal:(Politicus Flatuatius)-Our state animal is really secretive and loves to stay in hiding they have been caught on camera a few times, but we had to take them out because it always seemed it was feeding time and things would get really ravenous. If you happen to go near their cave or have the strength to enter the den please be careful and DON'T I repeat DON'T feed them.

Michigan State Weed:(Cannabis sativa)-Hmmmmm Do I really have to get into that one....I mean really........

Michigan State Fruit:(Johnomious Englerneum)-This fruit of Michigan was only around from 1991-2003 after that were not sure what happened to this rare fruit scientist believes that some bruising took place on the trees which bore this fruit and they just pruned up and died off.
