think I should take my son out to chinese buffet lunch?
or should I go by myself?

2. Take him.
It's always more fun to eat with someone else.

Well, unless they're open-mouthed chewers.

So if that's the case, then leave him home and take a good book. Either way, enjoy.

8. Mine loved Chinese food from the time he could eat solids
(That may have been partly because of having a Chinese babysitter, of course, who fed him lunch) but at the age of 8 he developed a taste for escargot with garlic butter.

9. Wow, I am feeling for you. My 5 y/o BEGS me to take her there
She does eat the occasional burger and fries (or oranges), but for some reason she inhales the fried rice and will ask to go there a lot. I'm sure the fact that ours has an ice cream machine helps, too! :D

13. Mine don't eat ice cream either. Or cake. You should see them at their own b-day parties.

10. my kids love chinese buffets
boys 12 and 16
if the buffet is big enought there has to be something they would eat.
sweet and sour chicken without the sauce is chicken nuggets
Actually some sort of chickeny nugget with sauce is a big theme at chinese buffets.
had some trouble getting them there the first time but once they figured the buffet out...
they can pack it away like free beer at a frat party

12. Don't Go! its extremely unhealthy ! Even the ones that don't add MSG
Just thinking about all that stir-fried stuff hardens the arteries.

If you have to eat out find a good health food establishment in your area , they do exist !

14. Stir fry take a tablespoon of oil at most
for portions that will feed 3 people. It's one of the healthiest ways to fry anything. Not to mention that the vegetables that are stir-fried aren't cooked to mush, they're crisp and colorful.

Good health food establishment? Little selection, no condiments. Sure, no salt, no fat, no taste. I'd find my holiday cards have more flavor.

And, quite frankly, depriving yourself of things that taste good all the time only serves to help make binge eaters. Everything in moderation. INCLUDING moderation.
