I am done with my poetry final exam!

She stands on the cusp of desire
Her eyes take in the landscape before her
It is strange to her
Unfamiliar, new, worrisome
But somehow tempting
Still she hesitates
She is afraid of
She does not know
But tomorrow stretches out his hand.


She sees him there
How lovely he looks
So intelligent and worldly
A man of strength, power and wisdom
Very self assured as well
She sees his confidence
And his smile shines over her
Still she hesitates to come closer
What does the future hold?
But tomorrow stretches out his hand.

He looks so calm, so loving, so confident
She can hardly bear
Not being close to him
He looks tenderly at her
Appraising her and all she is
She knows what he thinks
And she likes it more and more
She reaches out
And tomorrow stretches out his hand!

Congrats on finishing up your final. I'd much rather be writing poetry than studying for my Bankruptcy final (which is this morning and I should be poring over Statements and Schedules instead of posting here).


Bankruptcy

The money's gone, I cannot pay
I fear that this may be the day
When hat in hand I wander down
To see the man all dressed in brown
Who files the papers, takes the fee
And wrests my poor estate from me.
Bankruptcy! Ack! Thy name is dread
I wish I could go back to bed
And never wake to see the morn
This is the price of surfing porn!
My credit cards are all maxed out
I'll lose my house without a doubt
My car was repoed yesterday
The shame will never go away
But I will carry on somehow
And really have to study now!
