4. I don't know if it was that one, or another plane, possibly French,
that had a single cantilevered wing. Beautiful machine, with a look that was way ahead of its time.

5. I can't think of a French monoplane of that era
Though I think Nieuport were first to eliminate bracing wires on biplanes.

6. I'm pretty sure there was a French monoplane from WWI.
I had a model of it when I was a kid. Can't remember the name or manufacturer, though.

7. Found a couple
Coupla high-wings, that is. I know of the mid-wing Morane-Saulnier N "Bullet," built as a racer before the war, and the shoulder-wing Bleriot XI, which was adapted for recon use. But I didn't know Morane-Saulnier also built two high-wing recon/scouts, the L and the P.
