A while ago, I extolled the virtues of all-day lipstick. Oddly, I have
developed some reaction or allergy to it, and now ALL lipsticks.

I'm not an allergic kinda gal.

Any of you chemists out there have any ideas what chemicals in these products I'm reacting to?

Doesn't vanity suck?

1. As long as you don't end up on this page, it's all good.

6. wow
Those pics are just scary. The before pictures looked so much better. Naturally full lips are beautiful. Artificially plumped up lips almost never look good because they're so out of proportion and the shape isn't natural.

2. Is it just lipstick?
or other kinds of makeup?

Usually it's the perfumes in these products that people react to. The wax base?

7. It's JUST the lipstick... causes a rash around the edge of my lips and
severe chapping.

It's so strange. The purity lipsticks sound like a good way to go. I'll look for them at the Whole Foods...

3. Real Purity makes some great lipsticks for people who are
chemical sensitive. You can order samples, and the colors are great.

Good luck!

5. That sucks.
I'm not a big makeup person, but I almost never go out without something on my lips, if I wear no other makeup. That to me, would be the worst allergy to develop, cosmetic wise.

Have you tried lip gloss? I never thought I'd wear lip gloss this far out of Jr high, but they make really nice ones now that aren't overly shiny. I prefer them now to lipstick for the look and ease of application.
