Used your credit/debit card outside the USA? Get $25 settlement
Edited on Wed Dec-05-07 02:13 PM by gmoney
Something to do with the card companies fucking us on exchange rate fees, but if you used a credit card outside the USA between Feb 1, 1996 and Nov 8, 2006, you can be part of the settlement payout. The easy option pays a flat $25, but there are other options if you can produce documents that would let you collect more. On edit... the easy option by mail doesn't require you to produce any documentation, just sign the claim and mail it in.

I got a nondescript folded notice thing in the mail that I almost threw away.

You can do it online or get details at: http://www.ccfsettlement.com

Now if I can just file a suit getting back all the usury interest charges they've extorted from me over the years.

4. one more bump for free cashish
why leave $25 on the table? if you don't claim it, it either goes to a lawyer or a credit card company... it's your moral obligation to claim it!

3. I tried to fill out form on net, but they want last 4 digits
of my SS number (no way) and my credit card number. I wrote them a note and said forget that noise, send me a paper form please!

Thanks for the link, my daughters just got the paper form in the mail last weekend. I never thought I would be eligible. :hi:

5. We got this in the mail today
My husband thought it was one of the 10,000 household surveys I fill out (I always lie about how many family members we have and what we buy to fuck up the demographcs. Heh)

Well I opened it and checked it out online and it's legit.

Between 96 and 06 we went to Europe twice and Canada once...and each time we used the CC's and withdrew from ATM's, but there's no way I would even want to go through the rigamarole to get the EXACT amount we were charged, so we're just going for the quick and dirty $25.

whee!
