That 40 Days of Purpose hoo-ha not only ended up on CDs, meditation cards, every worthless trinket under the sun...yoou could work two full-time jobs and still not make enough money to buy all of the "40 Days" crap that's available.

...it also allowed a lot of churches to hold "40 Days of Purpose" events in which the big revelation at the end is that your purpose is to volunteer at the church in some operational capacity that they might otherwise pay for. One of my best friends is the former Singles Director from a yuppie Silicon Valley church that did exactly that.
