WOW! That is a perfect and hilarious graphic! I'm laughing my ass off! So here's my contribution -- a theme related rant I wrote for my live journal. It's silly but I had fun with the magickal parody of calling the "barbaric names" and so on:
I just turned on the TV. Usually the sound comes up first before the picture opens onto the screen like an ibis eye. The first thing I hear is Junior Bushco giving the State of the Union address on C-SPAN. Even without a picture I recognize it instantly.

What Amazing Ritual Theater the SOTU Is!
The toady sorcerors in Rove's ministry of black magic have the presidential golem all cranked tight and chanting statistics again. Chocolate rations are up 18% by the way. Those mojo-boys just love numerology, don't they? Especially numbers rigged with flashing green neon $$$$$$ signs...
And as the tv image snaps on, this juicy little word just plops into my brain.
SHRUMP.
SHRUMP...

It's a gumdrop of a word. SHRUMP nicely expresses the feelings of contempt, despair and ennui that take hold whenever I see or hear the golem talking. It speaks in code of course. The Shrump is a golem you see. All golems do that.
Fact is, the Shrump is an honest and decent guy. He looks like one doesn't he? Well, what's the difference, anyway? And also, he's not lying to the American people about how great things are getting. Remember, he's speaking in code.
I know this for a fact and here's why:
Listen carefully. The Shrump is up there talking about a different America than the rest of us are, and is invoking a highly specialized sense of the designation "American People". That other America, the one that created the Shrump in the first place, is looking as lush and profitable as a West Palm Beach country club these days.
Try if you can for a moment to imagine actually living inside, and in harmony with, the Shrump's quite real and wildly appropriating world view. It's an experience of entitled dominion in which all the havock the Shrump has wraught, in the final analysis, has been the unfortunate consequence of just doing the thing that had to be done. It's a community of high grace in which the golem acts on behalf of the righteous.
Imagine living inside a religio-corporate engineered one-size-fits-all mass McCulture in which people recognize themselves in the golem's infantile chaos, and happily supply him the adulation and political currency he requires to survive.

Everything the Shrump says is completely true for those who expect to benefit from usurping the American ethos. Those who benefit are the ones he calls "the American People". They're the ones who believe they have a right to dominion in the "America" the Shrump says it serves. See? The Shrump is a servitor.
The Shrump's up there chanting and mumbling, but he's not talking to us, folks. See? That's mojo for making people disappear -- just ignore them till they go away.

We who think the constitution is a pretty good idea; who like the seperation of powers in our government just fine, and who believe equal rights, personal liberty, and freedom of expression -- regardless of distinctions between people real or imagined -- is just obvious wisdom for the future of humanity; we who aren't complicit; who won't benefit from the New American Century, we're being systematically occluded into irrelevance by a devouring world view based on racism and greed.
I'm thinking about the Shrump's teeth right now.
America is hemorraging.
The Shrump prays too: "May God continue to bless America."

Hey kids! It's natural to be afraid of the Shrump. The Shrump is brutish, incurious and careless. Just remember this when you get that creepy feeling: The Shrump is more afraid of us than we are of it.
Never Fear.
