A so-called 'superloo' exploded in a town centre when an electrical
fault caused water to surge back into the toilet, blowing off its
roof and lifting the pavement.

In Ballard Washington (a district in the city of Seattle) the people used to be called wet bottoms.

The sewer system used to run down hill into the district. When the toilets were flushed on the uphill side; the water ran down hill coming up in the toilets at the bottom. Woe betide the person sitting on one when it happened...
