Campaign Season -- Help with a Playlist
I'm trying to put together an MP3 playlist of songs that make me think of campaign season....songs about America....songs about hope...that sort of thing.

So far I have:

Let the Day Begin -- The Call
Working Class Hero -- John Lennon
Don't Stop -- Fleetwood Mac
Democracy -- Leonard Cohen
Fortunate Son -- John Fogerty
Beatiful Day -- U2
The Stand -- The Alarm
Truth #2 -- The Dixie Chicks
I Am a Patriot -- Jackson Browne

Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!!

Melissa

2. "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.
I heard that one of the candidates played it at a rally, but I can't remember who.

We're right! Yeah!
We're free! Yeah!
We'll fight! Yeah!
You'll seeeeeeeee!

6. Electioneering - Radiohead

I will stop
I will stop at nothing
Say the right things when electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote

When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere
we will meet

9. I Am A Patriot - Steven Van Zandt

And the river opens for the righteous, someday

I was walking with my brother
And he wondered what was on my mind
I said what I believe in my soul
It ain't what I see with my eyes
And we can't turn our backs this time

I am a patriot and I love my country
Because my country is all I know
I want to be with my family
With people who understand me
I got nowhere else to go
I am a patriot

I was talking with my sister
She looked so fine
I said baby what's on your mind
She said I want to run like the lion
Released from the cages
Released from the rages
Burning in my heart tonight

I am a patriot and I love my country
Because my country is all I know

And I ain't no communist, and I ain't no capitalist
And I ain't no socialist
and I sure ain't no imperialist
And I ain't no democrat
And I ain't no republican either
And I only know one party
and it's name is freedom

and the river opens for the righteous, someday
