Friday is Monday but Monday is also Monday
So says Ohio State University!

~~~~~~
Classes for Winter Quarter 2008 will begin on Thursday, January 3, and follow the regular Thursday schedule.
On Friday, January 4, students will follow their Winter 2008 Monday class schedule. Courses scheduled for Fridays will not meet on January 4, since classrooms will be occupied by teachers and students attending their Monday schedule of courses.
Beginning Monday, January 7, all classes will meet at their usual times and locations.
~~~~~~

:wtf:

9. Kinda reminds me of this
From "Up the Down Staircase":

Please ignore previous instructions in circular #3, paragraphs 5 and 6, and follow the following:

This morning there will be a long homeroom period extending into the first half of the second period. All X2 sections are to report to assembly the second half of the second period. First period classes will begin the fourth period, second period classes will begin the fifth period, third period classes will begin the sixth period, and so on, subject classes being shortened to 23 minutes in length, except lunch, which will be normal.

:crazy:

12. That actually makes sense
they had something to do that morning, so started the normal periods later in the day and shortened them to fit all of them in.

I get it.

16. I get it, too
But I had to run it by a pool of linguists and mathematicians first.

It killed three of 'em.

11. Wow
yet another reason to be a Michigan Alum.

I never saw anything that crazy while I was there.

Now all we need is a real football coach, and we will be set.

I didn't do my undergrad here (or grow up here) so i mostly just laugh at all the OSU/Michigan madness. It's all fun and games until someone's car gets flipped! :D

15. I had a friend in town
during "Michigan week" this year. I took her down to Mirror Lake to watch all the undergrads jump in -- have you seen/heard of this??? It is completely INSANE! And this year it was FREEZING out. I don't live too far from campus, and i was hearing ambulance sirens all night. I'm sure it was drunk & hypothermic undergrads!

it must be an OSU thing...

We do some crazy things at Michigan though as undergrads.

You haven't lived until you have gone sledding at the arb on a lunch tray...

then it felt like three days, until later in the day and then it felt like just an hour.
