Cat+ utility pole=mayhem

The women tried coaxing the kitty with cat food, a chicken leg, the sound of a can of ravioli being popped and some jingle bells.

"Another neighbor tried shaking a box of cat food," Rodriguez said. "You can see he wants to come down. He must be freezing up there".

1. I bet the cat chased a squirrel up there.

2. I've never seen a cat skeleton in a tree.
Or up a utility pole, for that matter.

Like the guy said "If they can get up, they can get down."

Our vet told me that as soon as their hunger overcomes their fear they'll come down.

4. And as I told the tree guy who came to rescue one of my cats
and said the same thing, "Of course you don't, they get dehydrated and or starve and fall out."

My cat, by the way, died an early death due to a severely compromised immune system brought on by 4 days in a tree without food, or more importantly, water. (She probably spent another 4 days and possibly more without food and water for the same reason (up a tree) prior to my having acquired her.)

5. LOL
That's exactly what my wife said when she read this story!

This cat fared better than my Pippy would have. Pip has more guts than coordination. Last year, she tripped and fell from the third floor of an apartment building. She was not a happy kitty, but after sleeping for about 14 hours, she was back to normal.

I think she's made of vulcanized rubber, like a hockey puck.
