I just walked across the street in my housecoat and asked the men who have
been playing loud BASS music for the last several hours to please turn it down. This is not the first time I have asked them to turn their music down. And they are Spanish and I don't speak Spanish so I can't explain that it is just the BASS that travels like elephants conversing all over the place, (the neighbors in back of me said they hear it so that is almost twice as far).
Anyway they apologized so maybe it won't happen for another month or so.
Why do people feel so compelled to call the police? What happened to just talking to your neighbor and politely ask that they turn it down? That appears to be exactly what the OP did and they apologized.
I am just so surprised and very disheartened that people's first reaction is to call the police rather than discussing it with their neighbors like adults.
I think that, sadly, the police have a lot more important matters to which they must attend.
I am going to confront my neighbors, any of them. I don't know who they are; they might have guns. Well this is Texas they most likely have guns. I am afraid of them. Calling the cops is the safer thing ro do.
because it was so loud that pounding on the door nearly to the point of injury to my forearm wasn't loud enough to be heard over the music. I have gone over there several times for the music since as well. But that's drug dealers for you.
