I HATE SCHOOL!!!!

High school friggin sucks. I go to school with a bunch of idiots... I'm not going to elaborate, but I will tell you that a guy from my school went to the trouble of finding a facebook group I created in support of LGBT-inclusive sex education, than spent somewhere between 500 and 700 words telling me how ignorant and dumb I was, since the leading cause of death among teens is injuries. (WTF does that have to do with anything?) Then he got kind of homophobic as well...

Goddamnit, it's the weekend! Can't I get away from these people for two days a week?

Oh well, it's only another year after the end of this one...

:hug: People are idiots sometimes, and I for one have never understood the need of some assholes to use their time and energy tearing other people down. :eyes: That's awesome that you created a Facebook group for LGBT-inclusive sex education - that's a really great idea, and even if this guy is "offended" by that or whatever, it's not like bashing you on Facebook is going to make the issue go away. :shrug:

In conclusion: You're awesome, he's a jerk, and high school does suck but I have every confidence that you'll get through it just fine. :hug: Peace.

Well, we still used mimeograph machines when I was in high school, so I only have a vague idea of exactly what you are talking about. The only interactions I had with assholes were face-to-face. Can't you somehow delete the hacker's remarks?

7. High School is dumb.

I alienated myself from all my friends because they were idiots and I wanted to do something with my life. Stuff happened, people hated me, my senior year was the worst year of my life.

I'm in college now, and it's fucking gorgeous. I'm so happy where I am at in life. Hang in there a few more years.

Someone brought up the incidence of LGBT teen suicide, and you know what this guy wrote?

"I don't think suicide can be used as an argument, as although it is quite a serious topic, I don't believe it to be a large enough problem. Although it can devastate a family or school, it doesn't harm society at large."

Is that not one of the most insensitive things you've ever heard?

I'm glad other people on the group are discussing this, because I really don't know how to respond without potentially getting kicked off facebook.

14. You're Right---High School Sucks. Always Has.

It's probably not much comfort, but I went through high school almost 40 years ago, and it was awful, then. Funny thing, though: I made some life-long friends, and our class reunions get better and better with the years. And my college years were glorious.

Don't ever miss the reunions, by the way; if nothing else, you'll encounter certain individuals whose lives have gone downhill from their high school glory days. Try to feel suitably sorry for such people.....
