Need advice: Help me pick a Cruise!
Edited on Sat Dec-01-07 05:01 PM by Cheney Killed Bambi
I broke up with my girlfriend a short while ago, so two of my friends and I are going to go on a cruise over the Christmas Holidays. We're all in our early-mid thirties, with jobs, so we can afford a decent quality cruise. Does anyone have advice for a good cruise for three guys? Maybe something with a casino, that stops by some good beach resorts?

5. At this point in time
it might be a good thing to call a travel agent.....
they can tell you whats available...
Its gonna be hard. Most of the cruise ships have casinos, not sure if they are open when the ship is in port. I know in Bermuda they are closed....

hope you find a good one!!! I'm going to Bermuda on a cruise in July!!!

8. Holiday runs some out of Mobile.
3-5-7 day cruises to Cozumel, The Caymans, etc.
Smaller boats and crowds.
And NOLA is only a couple of hours away if you want a neat side trip.
In fact, you could fly in and out of NOLA and spend a few days there.

There's actually some pretty cool nightlife in Mobile too.
Especially if you do First Night. Lots of bands and an all night party.

My cousin just got back from her 3rd or 4th and had nothing but good to say about it.

We're taking one in May.

19. About Holland America
I had heard that this cruise line caters to an older crowd, which may not appeal to the OP. Is this true what I've hear?

20. Don't pick a floating hotel...yucky!!
I used to go on cruises back in 70's when ships still looked like ships. I really had blast time with all of them and it was so refreshing, relaxing..so different. Now they look like floating luxury hotels (most of them anyway). Look for a cruise ship that looks more like a SHIP/BOAT style. You will enjoy it much more. What's point of picking a floating hotel? Might as well book a hotel room on land by the sea.

26. I say forget the cruise, and pick a spot you've always wanted to visit.
You can get a great price on international travel at www.asaptickets.com or go to www.bestfares.com.

If your goal is to meet women for short, fun filled times, there are some "single specific" cruises which you can find on Yahoo Travel. If you really want to gamble, head to Vegas. If you are just in a "travel" mood with itchy feet, check out some of the "suggestions at the Best Fares website.
