2. Our weeping willow in the backyard drops a ton of leaves
But I usually run them over a few times with the mower for free mulch, so I only scoop up the ones that land on concrete.

4. Our yard is pretty small
so we actually just have one of those little manual push-mower thingies... maybe i should look into borrowing a power one! :)

5. Totally worth it for the leaves
If I raked them they'd overflow our green waste container but if I keep on top of mowing them into the lawn it's good for the grass and much easier on me. And I have to mow anyhow, although not too often this time of year.

6. Dammit, yes.
Usually we rake up mountains of oak leaves once -- with another quick cleanup a couple of weeks later.

This year, for some unknown reason, the friggin' leaves wouldn't drop like they usually do.

Tomorrow, we're looking at our 4th rake-up, 'cause it supposed to snow tomorrow night. Then the leaves would have to molder there all winter.

12. Last time I actually picked up leaves it took
a pick up truck bed, a trailer and 35 55-gallon trash bags to haul them all off from my quarter acre lot. Now I mulch them. MUCH easier and good for the soil. I live in an older neighborhood with lots of large established trees. The vast majority of the leaves I get come from my neighbors. The kids next door have not picked up or mulched leaves a single time in the past six years.

14. I raked today
I have a small yard, so I actually enjoyed it. (I wore gloves; no blisters.) I wish I could have a bonfire and burn them for the total autumnal experience.

15. We don't rake 'em, we suck 'em.
With the riding mower.
Just trying to find ways to use up all this excess gasoline.
