I got half an hour of sleep last night.
It feels like someone tried to escape my body by sawing through my throat from the inside out.
I think I have fucking strep for the third time this year.

JackMN is at home sick and miserable. We're both going to the dr's office in a couple hours.
I still have at least half of my 25-page term paper to write before tomorrow.

I wish someone would drive over my head with a suburban.

:nopity:

4. Please tell me there is something
of a pharmaceutical nature they can give for pain relief that will still allow me to be coherent enough to write a research paper...

I'm asking the impossible, aren't I?

What kind of sick are you?

6. HOT citrus based or laced REAL TEA. Medium strong
Also warm up the house, and turn on a vaporizer in the room you're in. Improvement will follow. Promise.

But do what the doctor says too.

17. I use something dark, like Darjeeling.
MEDIUM strong, and eat something with it. A LITTLE honey in it sometimes helps, but milk will raise mucus so don't use it.

I found one that mostly fit, though it was still a bit small and I kept slowly sliding out the bottom :P

Did you see the pics of my sister?

18. Oh Christ. I'm even dumber than I thought, right now.
I keep passing mirrors and noting that I have the most blank, dopey look on my face. It's kind of amusing, in a way.

9. Lol! That's probably the kicker.
I'm not known for my ability to handle sleep deprivation well.
I was not a huge fan of the newborn-infant stage.

16. It hurts to drink. ALOT. I think I'm going to try tea.
x(

The pain is sort of radiating up my throat and out my ears. My skin hurts, too. It completely sucks. I would never be able to deal with the chronic health issues some people suffer from. I don't know how they tolerate relentless pain. At least I can assume this will go away at some point and I'll be back to my annoyingly chipper self.

19. Sounds like you have a raging infection.
Ouch. I hate sore throats and when even your skin hurts it is awful! I hope you get some relief quickly, antibiotics will help. See if you can get an extension of a few days at least on the paper. How can you even think when in that kind of pain?

25. Garlic (immune booster). Shot of olive oil (sore throat). 270 minute nap.
Human beings get the most restful sleep if they break it into 90 minute cycles. Just FYI there.

30. Damn. I'm sorry. :(
If any of us was nearby I'm sure we could help you compose and type the paper for you. I've done that many times for friends. They pull together their notes and ideas, and I just help them with the writing and typing. It goes very quickly.

I hope you both feel better soon. :)
