Streisand's 'Whats Up Doc?' Who Else LOVES this Movie?
Just watched Streisand's 'Whats Up Doc?' last night. First time in a few years and I forgot how funny it was. I love this movie! Any other fans? I think its her best comedy. I also think Striesand never looked better as she did in this film. I mean, she was F-ing Hawt!

2. As a kid, I looked forward to it on TV- and thought she was the most beautiful
woman ever.. and couldn't understand why Ryan O'Neal kept resisting her. Nowadays, I'd be more into Madeline Kahn.

3. *raises hand*
It's gotta be in my top five all-time favorite comedies. Screamingly funny.

I don't really consider it a "Streisand film," though. Even though she's the focus and has page after page of great lines (and does a wonderful job), the film is really carried by Ryan O'Neal and Madeline Kahn, and, to a lesser extent, Kenneth Mars and even John Hillerman.

But the real genius is Peter Bogdanovich. We already knew he was a gifted visual director from "The Last Picture Show," but "What's Up, Doc?" and his later "Paper Moon" showed he can elicit amazing performances over a variety of genres. He's one of a select few whose films I'll watch simply because they directed.

5. Love it, and have only seen it twice
Once on regular ol' TV, the last time in beautiful hi-def with no cuts or commercials.

7. MEEEEE!
It's hilarious. It also makes me miss Madeline Kahn, the funniest woman in the universe.

8. I like it very much.
It's a modern version of "Bringing Up Baby" with Babs doing a fabulous job in the Katharine Hepburn role.
