Have you ever mistaken an actual event for a dream?
and found you didn't know if it was a dream or real?

A few weeks ago I remembered "talking" and listening to someone on DU telling another DU'er something that would help them...

I couldn't remember if I'd really heard it, or how I heard the conversation in my mind

or if it was a dream

(a twist on Mr. Scorpio's thread, and a copycat because of that :P )

1. Sometimes I wonder if I just dreamed that the dems took back Congress last year.
Kind of a dream unfulfilled so far.... :(

2. Well, this is embarassing but funny
I've been so exhausted lately working retail through the holidays and taking half a dozen midterms that I'm like a damned zombie in the morning. The other morning, I got up at 2:15am to go to work ( :nuke: ) and I was so tired that when I sat down on the toilet, I had to stop and really concentrate to figure out if I was really awake or if I was having one of those dreams where you dream you're peeing and then you wake up in a puddle.

It took me several seconds to realize that I was in fact awake - the hard part was trying to figure out what conclusively proved it.

5. I'm kind of hoping the selection of Bush in 2000 was just a bad nightmare
but, I think I'm realizing it's reality...

7. yes... waking up to find that
John Lennon had been shot. I had left my TV on overnight. I was hearing the news as I was waking but I was sure that it was still a dream.

9. I had a dream 20 years ago that a cousin of mine was describing a conversation
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 04:16 PM by applegrove
with someone who saw my sister in the bank and that person said "she looked pregnant". I took it as real (I was depressed at the time so not in tune with my thinking). And I told my grandmother. What an idiot I was. It was only when my sister confronted me that i realized it was a dream.
