Don't push Roland, 'cause he's close to the edge...
This is part of an email I just got from my friend Roland. Roland is one of the most passive, tolerant and thoughtful people I know. He would never hurt a fly. He is the kind of person who doesn't usually get involved in politics, and who seldom votes. But Roland is angry. Roland has had enough:

"...I've been thinking about this Goerge Bush/Corporate greed stuff, and I think that the Protest Movemement against these bastards needs to do more than ...protest. Those cocksuckers of Money have nothing to fear as long as we bleat about right and wrong- they still have the keys. We need to come up with solutions- a plan- that will solve the problems that they don't give a shit about- they have enough money to keep themselves insulated from Greed fallout- it's the rest of us that have to deal with the implications of their bullshit. How about threatening them with Answers. They won't give a shit until they feel threatened- let's figure out how to hit them where it hurts- or- shift the zietgiest away from a self gratification/consumer/pigs at the trough of self interest that we've decided is a fulfilling way of conducting our lives and moving to a society of doing what is right for the common good-Socialism(?)...?

Roland's anger is very exciting to me. It's people like Roland who will decide where we go in the next two years, and people like us here on DU. There is hope.

The tide is turning..."anger is an energy..."

1. I am hearing lots of this
and it is very encouraging. Listening to a morning show that has been supporting Bush* has shown me a very distinct change. The issues are now going against Bush*, the host is questioning everything and the callers are mostly becoming very savvy about what is happening. This morning I heard an older woman call in and tell the guy that the Ricin was just a distraction. 6 months ago you would have never heard this. This is in Kansas and Missouri. Good signs cropping up all over. Everyone is pissed about corporate control, more good signs.
