my mom really loved my apartment! :woohoo:

my stepfather and brother LOVED my cooking. my brother is super fussy so that totally rawked.

my gf is awesome and helped me with all the cleaning :loveya:

my baby brother LOVED the chocolate dessert i made.

heather said my vegetarian cooking was extremely flavorful :bounce:

I had a wonderful thanksgiving for the most part. There were over 30 of us in a big old Vermont Farmhouse that's been lovingly remodeled. Before that a bunch of us were in town helping out at the local church dinner for those who needed a good thanksgiving meal and a place to go.

The food at our dinner was unbelievable. Mushroom and walnut pate, dips and crudites and olives to start, two enormous turkey, 2 kinds of stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips,squash, green peas, creamed onions, carrots, brussel sprouts, gravy, cranberres 3 different ways, lots of good wine, a cheese tray, 8 different kinds of pies: pecan, chocolate walnut, pumpkin, cherry, apple, mincemeat, sweet potato and canadian maple sirop, and three cakes.

Of course, no could even sample everything, but everyone got to bring home a goody box.

That's what happens when you have over 20 people bringing side dishes and desserts.

5. wow thats a lot of food

i had a roast chicken, rack of lamb, cumin shrimp, sweet potatoes, yellow squash with mint, spinach, an indian rice dish, stuffing, cranberry sauce. warm chocolate cake and pumpkin pie.

my mom made the rice, heather bought the pie, and the stuffing was from a bag.

next year i will make my own stuffing.

i was going to make more food but it was vetoed by the family.
