Today, I found out that the Twins have lost Torii Hunter. Pretty much one of my three favorite players on the team. Carl Pohlad is an asstard, and I am pissed.

Torii Hunter signed with the Angels yesterday. I can see two small pieces of upside to this. First, he is not playing for the White Sox, or the Yankees. And second, since he is now playing for Anaheim, I can see him play here, a lot! Does not change my allegiance to the Twins at all, but I really do enjoy Torii's web gems. He really is an incredible player.

I guess he had talks going with the White Sox, the Rangers, and the Royals (the Royals????), when the Angels swooped in and offered $15 million more than the other three.

I am really torn about this.

Good player yeah. But good team player? I'd rather have a good farm system and bring up good talented players than deal with marquee prima donnas who may not ever take them to the pennant or the World Series.
