Live music and auto pitch correction software.
Can anyone tell me if musical acts these days are using some kind of real time pitch correction software? I am well aware of this type of thing being used in the studio, but how about live? I first noticed this a few years back when I took a young friend of mine to his first concert, Blink 182. This band's songs are sung in fairly high registers and it seemed to me ( a veteran of many concerts over the years) that they sounded too good. Those hard to hit notes were just being hit too accurately for a live performance.

What say you, are live music acts "prettying up" their vocals with magic pitch-correction software?

5. Thank goodness that classical music doesn't get played with
I can't imagine going to a concert where the sound is sent through a microphone and then played around with. :scared:

6. Ask any "professional" Gen-Y performer wearing a headset...
They're pimped for looks; not talent. Methinks they're using a real time modulator of some sort...

Yeah. Real talent died in the 1990s, before technology "perfected" everything. Except the soul. But if they did, I'd replace my corporeal body for a strong android suit and live forever.
