Our Thanksgiving
ginbarn and I went to the home of TexasThoughtCriminal and John for Thanksgiving (thanks again for everything, guys).

We ate lots of great food.

We met lots of new friends.

We had some great desserts.

The Cowboys beat the Jets at Texas Stadium today.

My blood pressure numbers are still dropping.

March of the Penguins is on Animal Planet right now.

And it actually feels like November outside. Light sleet and snow all across northern Texas.

I'm feeling rather relaxed and content right now, and I hope all of my fellow DUers are as well. :hi:

1. Sounds like you had a great day!

I didn't think my day was going to be so good and I was upset all week about it but it turned out to be an exceptional day! The turkey came out juicy and perfect, all the other side dishes were actually done on time and my son, who had told me he was going to dinner at his friends house, didn't and he helped me finish making the dinner and we ate and talked and laughed and watched two movies together and then my two older sons called and we talked for an hour and then my brother called and we talked for a while and my oldest brother sent me an e-mail with a lot of pics he took today near his home and my oldest sister called yesterday and we talked
for two hours! Now my son is cleaning up the kitchen and putting the food in the fridge and all is well! I really feel so much better.
My mood has lightened up considerably. ;)

Here are the pics my brother took near his home on Cape Ann, MA

4. I had an awesome Thanksgiving!!
And I never have *awesome* Thanksgivings... :)

I got up at 8, made 2 batches of cranberry sauce, laid on the couch watching the Top Chef marathon with Sniffa, showered, dressed, and went to my SIL's for dinnah. It was us, SIL, BIL, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, MIL, FIL, BIL's parents, BIL's Brother and wife, and baby. We mingled, we watched football, we ate. It was great.

:)

:hi:

5. Happy holiday to you guys!
I thought about driving down to Crawford for Camp Casey Thanksgiving. (Sat at 2:00 if you guys are interested) But then it snowed here yesterday and snow here means ice down your way and I really wasn't into driving in ice. And my kids reminded me there is a rather significant border war football game here Sat night and evlbstrd invited us over to watch the game at his house.

So weather and KU-MU is keeping me home this weekend.

Today we ate a store cooked turkey in a clean kitchen. Can't recommend that highly enough. Why didn't I ever do this before? LOL

Hugs to your gorgeous wife.

7. Hi Derby! We had a big family deal with about 29 people, counting
the babies. Lots of food, the game, talking, laughing, and the light sleet and snow.
