Pushing Daisies: Best show on TV or...
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 12:21 PM by PeaceNikki
Best show ever?

Last night's episode was another example of pure joy. Seeing the Darling Mermaid Darlings back in the pool was awesome.

I love Paul Rubens new(and will be recurring) role as Oscar Vibenius.

Who else is totally drawn into this show?

1. Count me in
I really enjoy Pushing Daisies.

I love the narration and the sense of innocence.

My husband loves the abundance of female cleavage.

2. Last night with Olive in the mermaid costume must have been
especially enjoyable for your husband! Her bouncing around was... distracting. :o

3. The Facts Were These...
I absolutely love the show!

It is new, quirky and the innuendo is superb. The writers deserve special recognition for the funny crap that's said. :P

_____________
Here are my favorite lines per episode. Ok, I go a lil overboard.

10-03-07 - I used to think masturbation meant chewing -- not any more.

10-10-07 - What is so great about knowing? When you lift up a rock do you find whipped cream? No, you find worms. I say no to knowing.

10-17-07 - (a t-shirt) with a beaver on it. He had little lipstick kisses on his cheek and he was holding a sign that said, "Be kind to animals. Kiss a beaver"

10-24-07 Just because there's vodka in my freezer doesn't mean I have to drink it. Wait, yes it does. & Well then, flies land on me - they pay rent.

10-31-07

11-14-07 If you're playing, it's for play play. You know you ain't getting paid right?

11-21-07 this is what it is isn't it.. unless that's not a rolling pin under your apron. & Pungent like fried chicken grilled on a bed of hair

Lets just hope it doesn't get canceled like many good shows do.

6. Easily best new show of the new season.
I like this show very much. It's...magical. How many shows can say that?

8. Everybody's having a lot of fun-- they took an...
off-the-wall idea and instead of going all Tales From the Crypt or Twilight Zone with it, went for cute.

And it works. Writing and casting are just about perfect. Swoosie and Ellen doing what they do best, and Kristin lighting up the screen without being that damn good girl they keep casting her as. And PLEEEZE keep Paul Reubens around just for kicks.

Anyone who says the narrator is a cheap trick isn't worth listening to.

Bryan Fuller did "Wonderfalls" "Dead Like Me" and some Heroes, Voyager, and DS9 episodes. This guy knows exactly what he's doing, and if this one unfortunately tanks, rest assured he'll be back with something even better.

12. I love all of his stuff. Dead Like Me was a favorite.
I was heartbroken when it was cancelled. But, you're right, he keeps creating masterpieces. I see so many elements of Pushing Daisies that are similar to Dead Like Me. Obviously the central plot centered around death, but also the lead female character with a masculine name. It was George in Dead Like me and it's Chuck in Pushing Daisies.

The cast is phenomenal. Emerson and Olive and the aunts... oh my! I do think Paul Rubens will be a great occasional touch of flavor to an already tasty dish!

10. I had to look it up, but hubby is still boycotting ABC for the 9/11 movie
and still giving Robertson airtime on ABC Family

it would have to be a hard sell to get him to try it
