9. You can eat cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, and tofurkey

and pretend you're here with us. Really, just eat yourself sick and then crash on the sofa watching football. Et voila! It's Thanksgiving!

2. Mr MB and I are staying home....

Little MB is with her dad. My stepdad cancelled on us today because his brother is ill and he is going to visit him.

So we get the day all to ourselves.... :evilgrin:

10. My dad is coming down from Milwaukee

and two colleagues who have no family in the Midwest are coming, and we're all going to the HUGE buffet at the Lodge at Starved Rock State Park. It's a beautiful park along the Illinois River, with this lodge--a hotel and restaurant--that was built by CCC workers during the Depression. The Lodge is great, with this great. Stone and log walls, and this big fireplace in the middle of the "Great Room". They serve a really nice buffet. Buffets work nicely, because I can avoid meat, gravy, stuffing, etc. At this one, I'll still have PLENTY to eat. Some whole big families go there for their Thanksgiving Dinner.

It should be a good day.

12. I am going to my parents'

they live in the palmer divide in Colorado and have deer, elk, coyotes, etc. They have a huge house that sits on 8 acres of land. They have a hot tub and very nice guest rooms with king sized beds. I am going tonight and will probably stay until Sun. Looking forward to it.

All those years of freaking out trying to get so much done on T-day are over.
