You? Significant Other? Kids? Unmade day after day after day?

5. I do.
It takes me hundreds of hours. Really. I make quilts. Once they're finished, though, it only takes a few seconds to fling them over the rumpled bedsheets.

And it's fun.

Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 10:42 AM by Whoa_Nelly
But she's been on strike the last two weeks demanding more walks, better treats, and less vet visits.
Day after day she's been taking her stand on this and wearing her "I am blue!" doggie protest bonnet,
constantly running around the backyard and yipping, "Let sleeping dogs lie!"

She also is demanding to not wear the French maid uniform anymore, and insists she can do housework in the au naturel.

(Neighbor's dog in the standard uniform)

The neighbors are complaining because their dogs are starting to get get up in paws over this, and want to join her cause.
Constantly, they bark their support across the fences of our community.
We are all becoming fearful that there will be no Christmas this year if the dogs all go on strike, and we actually have to make our own beds after lying in them.

My dog is making me very unpopular in this town. :scared:

And my bed hasn't been made all during that time, not to mention getting the sheets washed and my pillows fluffed

I never make my bed, and nobody else does, either. You're just going to get into it in 16-18 hours again anyway. What's the point?

17. Nobody.
I was forced to make my bed as a kid and I always thought it was completely pointless.

Now the only time I make it is if I have company over, or if I want to do work on the bed for some reason.

so unmade bed apparently equals fewer allergens and less sneezing.

31. Unmade beds are healthier.
I read an article a few months ago that said unmade beds host fewer bedbugs, dustmites and other nasties because the sheets are exposed to the air and can dry out. Made beds are more humid and therefore provide a more hospitable atmosphere for creepie-crawlies.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it makes a great excuse for slovenliness.

The only time beds are really made is if the room's been cleaned, or the sheets have just been changed.

39. I do.
The rest of the house is so cluttered that having a made bed somehow is just more calming when I go to bed. My husband is the kind of guy who drops plastic wrapping from boxes, or wrappers around lozenges, or whatever, right where he's opened the box of software or lozenge or whatever. Drives me freaking insane, sometimes. He's learned to keep his mess in his office, we've compromised on the amount of clutter in the rest of the house, but the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are TIDY. That includes a made bed.

41. Make....the....bed?
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 02:21 AM by Evoman
Huh? I sleep with one blanket. Making a bed is unnessecary. People who make their beds have too much time on their hands. They are the kind of people who walk with a stick up their butt, put the toilet seat down, run water while they are peeing, eat with cutlery, and make life miserable for all of us who don't HAVE to count the number of rings before we answer the phone, or wash the dishes before we finish eating, or fold our newspapers back into perfect squares.
