It's damn near 2 am central, and I can't sleep. Anyone else with that problem?

...ever try 'old time' radio. Sometimes it works for me. Gives me just enough to concentrate on and ease out of consciousness.

13. I need to get up in 5 hours.
I couldn't sleep so I thought the smartest thing to do was open a bottle of champagne. Now on bottle number two (and I'm not a big drinker). Next step Sterno strained through a gym sock....

14. Insomniacs?
Sheesh, 2 a.m.?? That's not insomnia! It ain't insomnia until the sun is up!

I'm virtually never asleep any earlier than 7 a.m. at, and frequently not until after 9 a.m. Fortunately I work evenings, so it works.

15. Awake and trying to become a better guitarist
I figure dexterity exercises for speed and precision for a while, followed by playing some arpeggios and scales through cycles and chord progressions should help out.

23. Most of my life, yeah...
It's gotten worse over the past two years, and considerably worse over the past couple-three months.

I don't mind being a night person (all that psychic "noise" from the rest of the world dies down, which is lovely), but I'm at the point where I almost can't sleep if it's dark out anymore.

Sometimes I feel like I'm on night watch -- literally. Anyone else feel that way? As if you were "standing guard" while the rest of the world sleeps?

26. Insomnia's my middle name
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 06:15 AM by depakote_kid
although it's much better in the midst of winter. A Seasonal Affective thing, to be sure. It wouldn't be so bad if my eyes didn't hurt- my brain and body usually function enough well on little sleep.

And sapphocrat- yes, I do feel like I'm on night watch sometimes- that's a very good way to put it....

27. This might work out ok
Since I haven't been in bed before 3 am in over a month. If I can make it through the day without falling asleep I may be able to get back on schedule tonight.
