Saw the Scottish film "Sweet Sixteen"--I swear there's a drug-film formula
You have your Scarface, and you have your Requiem for a Dream, and you have your Trainspotting. Put them in a blender and you get this movie. It's really entertaining, though. And the ending (along with parts of the plot) did buck the trend a little bit. Good acting and good production, slightly predictable plot. There's a set-up shot of a certain car that will have indie film fans getting ahead of the film.

'Spun' to that list as well. It's 'Requiem for a Dream' on methamphetamine.
These type of movies give me the heebiegeebies because you KNOW that there are people who actually live lives in such a fashion. It's like a terrible car crash, you don't really want to look but you have an overwhelming morbid curiosity and do it anyway.
I'll have to look it up.
