Which is worse? 528 dead American soldiers or a boob on TV?
Republicans think Janet Jackson's exposed boob is worse than 528 American soldiers needlessly dead in Iraq. That's the difference between us and them.

Michael Powell is "outraged" by JJ's boob. The 528 Americans his father helped kill? Not a big deal, at least compared to a boob.

but bare celebrity breasts bring in ratings, and even better, they don't cause you to think about what your country is doing in your name.

2. And something else, while I'm at it.
All this outrage is about the boob. There is almost no outrage in the mainstream media about the misogynistic undertones of the event, which is infinitely worse that the actual boob. It's not "He ripped off her clothing, the bastard!" It's "Oh my God, a boob! Right there on the TV! Do something! Won't somebody please think of the children?"

5. this is the same crowd
that was so outraged over billy's willy they made it a subject of enless media descriptions. I wouldn't have expected anything less than feigned outrage. Morals, it appears, only center on living body parts.

7. or Kid Rock's "flag desecration."
These people should be, in my opinion, much more bent out of shape about an entertainer wearing a flag like a cape than an entertainer flashing some mammary gland.

I don't give much of a shit either way, but conservatives are so hypocritical.

9. Janet's boob on TV is one reason most Americans don't care about 528 dead
Not to mention the Iraqi human beings left out of your equation. We at DU like to blame the "media" and leave out individuals.

Janet got her publicity, and will sell a few more CDs. The media got something to talk about.

Our pleasure and sales obsessed, fake shock, phony rebellious pop culture, plays a large part n keeping our populace anesthetized.

13. if 90 % of the people felt one thing, while 10 percent were busheviks
and in position re media business entertainment law enforcement military religion etc then you'd sinply never know about the discrepancy.....if you consider what geeb (not to be confused with Geb, guv of florid) has done in reality to the USA, then no one can say the American people are to blame for allowing it.
I always recall little known fact: 4 million germans voted AGAINST hitler and nazis in the last free election ('32) despite almost incredible street thuggery organized in intimidating them....this same 4 million went quietly along when germany was crushed, and they have NEVER been recognized, barely mentioned by history ....they were mainly workingclass (thus nobodies)
i would bet ann coulter's left nut that they all, mediawhores and bushjohns, are terrified of the American people, thus the constant lying that few believe (the lies nevertheless create doubt in the majority, who stay quiet cuz they think they're out of touch with reality)

10. Just to make a clean breast of it...
I cannot see how anyone could be outraged by a boob. Unless, of course, it's residing in the East Wing.

I am quite fond of boobs myself, and have often wondered why men don't have them. I would be quite content to admire and fondle my own, if I had them, rather than go through the hassle of dealing with women.

Something to do with the survival of the species, I would assume.

Hundreds of dead soldiers is something else entirely. There's no sin or wickedness there, and certainly no worldly temptation.

Nope, those soldiers died doing God's work bringing civilization, democracy, God-fearin' Christianity and Big Macs to the heathens.

And wonderbras for their boobs.

Republicans. If they were special they would've been in one of the Ivy league schools. Iraqis are less important because brown people are just "Sand Niggers" that get in the way of their god given rights to Middle Eastern oil.:argh:
I feel like Malloy right now:(
