3. Why are you selling such a beautiful dollhouse?
Save it for the future babies. It's beyond gorgeous and I'm sure they would love to have something that beautiful that their grandmother made.

16. Don't mean to get carried away, it's just that for me
making things is the pinnacle of human existance. It's what sets us apart from the rest of the herd. Animals may be able to make some basic things, nests, dams, webs, some basic tools, ect. But we can make whatever the hell we want to make. Not only that, but we can make things that may outlast us. Everything from a work of art, music or literature to a physical object like that dollhouse. It's our choice. And yet so few people choose to do so.

19. I agree
thats how I feel about my paintings. I put something on this Earth that would have never existed if it weren't for my being here...I like to think they will outlast me...a legacy of sorts.

here are a couple now...

I like that first one, BTW. :) I wish I had some kind of talent for visual art, but alas, I do not. :( I'll have to settle for my music.

48. I've never tried actually...
never got into the DDR style games, and since I actually have a real guitar to play... :P

Which reminds me, I gotta change the strings today before I forget. Broke my high E string, and I'd already broken the replacement I had. But I needed to replace all the strings anyway so I bought a new set today, and then bought an extra high E just in case. :)

18. That is fantastic
I so wish I had some money right now. I collect doll house stuff, and have mine in a curio cabinet. It's mostly Victorian. I also have a 1940's hard cardboard dollhouse with bakolite furniture. I'm drooling, thanks for the pictures. One day when I can figure out photobucket and my scanner I'll post my doll house stuff. I wish you could save it, for yourself.

My dad helped, of course, and we made it a weekend project at the time. My grandmother still has it over at her house.

24. My neighbor builds doll houses from scratch
and then sells them for $35,000. Yup, all those zeros are supposed to be there. Even though yours was from a kit I would still ask WAY more than $175. I am guessing that you have you priced similar doll houses on eBay?

36. Human integrity sits there in one, detail package. Barbie, eat your lead out.
Not mass produced. Not homogenized. Probably not filled with lead-painted figures.

Finely detailed American quality.

Impressive. Absolutely impressive.

Barbie can rot in envy in plastic hell.
