What is it with smacking?
Are some people somehow unaware of how unbelievably annoying that is? I'm not talking about kids or teenagers... I'm talking about my coworker who is walking around chomping on his gum with his mouth open, and he's in his late 30's!

Chew with your mouths closed, dammit!

Didn't everyone learn this as a kid? If not, WHY?!

:banghead:

3. I'm going into geezer mode here but that's what happens....
Edited on Mon Nov-19-07 12:18 PM by Richardo
...when things like manners are considered 'not important' or 'too constraining for young children' or 'just society trying to force us all into a mold'.

Well, there are reasons for that. The main one being that left to themselves, many people are inconsiderate pigs. Same goes with not covering your goddam mouth when you sneeze or cough. :grr:

/geezer.

9. Yup... soooo nasty.
But people whose mouths have good acoustics I feel sorry for. You know, the ones who even while chewing with their mouths closed, you can still hear all kinds of stuff.

That must be awful.

Edited on Mon Nov-19-07 02:14 PM by Phoonzang
Smacking is enough to make me want to tear my eyes out, but popping gum fills me with homicidal rage.
