I don't get the thing with female sideline reporters on NFL telecasts
Nothing whatsoever against women as sports reporters, mind you. Two of the best sportswriters I've ever known were women.

I just gotta wonder why everybody does it — Faux Sprots, ESPN, NBC, whoever else — and why, after all these years of it, women are still only on the sidelines. When's somebody gonna put one in the booth?

1. They're not in the booth because they don't blather on
It's too bad that a woman in the annoucing booth would obviously create a tear in the space-time continuum. After all, girls don't understand The Game, especially to guys like Terry Bradshaw.

I really like the two women who report from the sidelines on FOX Sports, but I don't care for Jillian the weather woman.

2. That would be a refreshing change
I've heard of women sportscasters in some sports, but the NBA, NFL, and MLB don't have any that I know of and those are the most watched sports in the country.

3. The Jankees have Suzyn Waldman on radio
I find her irritating, though.

5. It's easier for Joe Namath to flirt with them on the sidelines
