Should I disown my mom?
Edited on Sun Nov-18-07 08:40 PM by LaraMN
She had a sore throat last week and in describing her discomfort, she repeatedly referred to her "larnyx."

It was *almost* as bad (though not as uncomfortable)as when I worked with a woman who, in telling me something about her uvula, kept calling it her "vulva" (in the semi-presence of customers, at a retail store.)

2. She's only 57 and her lexicon is usually adequate.
I will cut her some slack, THIS time...

6. once, while i was driving, my mom refered to someone as a t-w-a-t..
i almost lost control of the car. my mom cusses (sh*t and son of a bitch, her fav) but i have NEVER heard her say something like that. so i ask "what did you say?" and she repeats it. and i ask "do you know what that means?" she says "an ass" and i tell her "no try a little further north on the female anatomy." she thinks, gulps and changes the subject.

i HATE those words : c*nt, pu**y, the above mentioned , etc. i never say them and cannot stand to hear them.
