Why the hell do they make outside decorations with such small power cords? We have a cute little snowman that lights up and it's hell trying to plug him in, because the damn cord won't reach to an outlet. WHY?!?

1. So you buy an extension cord.

2. Yes, but it's a pain having a bunch of extension cords snaking through the front yard.
We have a few more things we put out there, like a tree that lights up, some deer and other lights. Almost all of them have short cords, which make it nearly impossible to connect them all into a plug, unless you bunch them together and it looks like a mess. So now we have a bunch of extention cords just because these damn cords aren't long enough! BAH.

3. Have you seen the indoor/outdoor multiple outlet extension cord?

Sorry, don't know how to copy the picture and edited to add that the link won't take you directly to the product. Hmm..don't know why..but they have one at that website.

My dh got one a few years ago, he said he didn't pay $30 for his though. He can't remember where he got it.

also wanted to add that the outlets are spaced 8ft apart on these. Black and Decker makes one too. They definitely help with keeping extension cords to a minimum.
